No Wait is a touch screen interface that allows customers in restaurants to order and request things directly. This eliminates wasted time. No Wait can be used as much or as little as customers prefer and normal waiter and waitresses will still be needed to bring out food/drinks and assist customers, so not many jobs will be lost to this model.
Hi! I think I have seen something similar used in Applebee's. You may want to check that out. However, I do think that you have a good idea and that it could potentially be incorporated into large restaurant chains. I would highly suggest you aim for big chains because this would allow your product to be vastly dispersed versus individually having to sell to small local restaurants. Good luck, feel free to check out my blog: http://phatblogz.blogspot.com

Amy,
ReplyDeleteGreat Idea and good pitch. I will say the pitch could've been a little better, maybe if you memorized the pitch instead of reading it word for word. I have also seen similar devices used in applebees's, but ask yourself this, what would make mine better then theirs and pitch that..

Hello Amy,
ReplyDeleteI really like your idea, specially because it can adapt all sorts of people and the customer service experience/wait time they are looking for. One issue is that you also have to think about the restaurant's capacity in terms of how many people they can fit in the venue while still being effective and efficient. Regarding you pitch, I think you could practice it a little more until it comes out more naturally so you don't have to look down and read. Also, body language could be very helpful for this type of situations because it helps to engage and catch the attention of the potential customers/investors. Here is my pitch is you want to take a look at it http://berrvh.blogspot.com/2016/02/elevator-pitch-no-1.html
Great idea! I could see this being implemented in the larger chain restaurants as they would be able to afford this type of technology and you would have a wider spread of your product, versus local small businesses. As to your pitch, make sure to speak more naturally, like you're proposing this idea to one of your friends or your family so that you can really engage potential customers.
