Elevator Pitch No. 3

The feedback that I received on my last elevator pitch included people telling me that I needed to practice running through my pitch more beforehand. I was also told to have better body language and to speaker more naturally as if talking to a friend or a family member.

Because of the feedback that I received, I stood up this time instead of sitting down. I also tried to incorporate some body language and speak more naturally. I ran through my pitch a few times before recording it, as suggested, which I believe actually did help.

Here is my pitch:

  1. Hi Amy-
Good venture idea! I still think that you need to work more on your emotions in your words and body language. Get excited! This is something you are working towards. It is hard to get interested when you don’t even look it. I would suggest getting more excited when you do your next elevator pitch.
Our elevator pitches are not really alike, but here is the link to mine: http://kwallaceent.blogspot.com/2016/03/elevator-pitch-no-3.html
    Have a good day!

  2. Although I think your idea is great, I have to agree with Kate. You should work on being a little more enthusiastic on your idea. It is hard to get excited about a product or service if the owner is not even excited about it, making it less likely that the consumer would take advantage of the idea in any way shape or form. If you fix this, I think you will have a great pitch.

  3. Amy!!! Small world that I was assigned your blog! I really like your idea! You did a great job of learning from your previous feedback and I can tell you integrated it in well. My only other critique would be to make a little more eye contact with the camera. Great job! Here is a link to my blog if you want to check it out!

  4. Hi Amy,

Great pitch! You definitely looked more natural standing. The gestures may work a little better if you tape the pitch behind the camera so you can look up more. If you stare down more, incorporating your hands seems out of place.

You have a great idea! I don't live on campus but I have heard so many horror stories on the wait for food! Great idea, and you should definitely develop it.

I didn't get a chance to re-do my elevator pitch, but here's my general class blog.
